Please pray. My friends Tyson and Leslie Aschliman received very bad news today regarding Leslie’s cancer prognosis. You can read Tyson’s powerful post about developments here. A few days ago, Tyson blogged about the four specific areas that folks can be focusing on in their prayers. I would ask you to continue lifting up Leslie, Tyson, and their young son TJ as they come to your mind. Throughout this ordeal, the Aschlimans have demonstrated a remarkable faith and confidence that God is in control. May the Lord fill them and their family with an extra measure of his peace in the days ahead.

Hi Ed,
Thanks again for posting this information about Leslie and Tyson. I just finished reading through Tyson’s posts of the last several days. I have only “”met” Tyson here through your blog, but he and Leslie, sure feel like family. My heart is sad now through reading this and yet I know, we all know, that this world is not our final home. Those words and other such thoughts are easy to speak, until it comes home and we have to walk that path ourselves. There are many important faith lessons to learn through this event. In my case, I hope to learn something beyond mere academics though. Tyson is a smart guy and he writes well too. That combination makes for fertile reading on nearly any topic, all the moreso here on the topic of faith in action. My prayer for Leslie, Tyson, and TJ is that the LORD will sustain their family through the battle and cause us all to focus all the more on His love.
Peace,
Shlomo
Thank you for sharing their story with us and inviting us into the praying community that surrounds them. My daughter is praying for Leslie’s healing.
[...] a long time ago. I’d like to ask again that you hold this young family up to God as Leslie battles cancer. The bit of news that came today did not sound good. Tyson had to rush Leslie to the hospital. [...]
